This Is The Basic Recipe For The Most Popular Dump Cake!

CHERRY PINEAPPLE DUMP CAKE

1 can (16 oz.) crushed pineapple
1 can (20 oz.) cherry pie filling
1 pkg. yellow or white cake mix
1/2  c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. butter
Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan. Dump in the pineapple and juice, spreading evenly. Pour cherry pie filling over the pineapple, spreading evenly. Add dry cake mix evenly over the fruit. Add nuts, then slice butter and lay all over the top. Do not mix. Bake in a 350 degree oven 1 hour.

Delicious Blueberry Coconut dump cake-Just like a cobbler Serve warm and ala mode.

  • 1 regular size can crushed pineapple
  • 1 can blueberry pie filling
  • 1 box of lemon cake mix
  • 1 stick
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 3/4 cup coconut

Preheat oven to 350*.
Put pineapple and pie filling in the bottom of an greased 9x13in. baking pan.
Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the filling. Dont Stir
Drop butter slices evenly over the cake mix.
Bake in oven for 20 minutes.
Sprinkle top of cake with nuts and coconut and bake for another 20 minutes
Serve warm and ala mode if you like
*NOTES*
You can use any kind of cake mix and any kind of pie filling as long as you include the pineapple and butter. The nuts and coconut are optional. We like chocolate cake with cherry filling, Peach filling and yellow cake or cinnamon cake, for the kids I use funfetti cake with strawberry filling..You see that you can go on and on!! The pineapple is not as strong as you would think!
